My son clicked on an ad and now home page is locked on www.awebsecurity.com. How do I get rid of it?

I have XP and use IE. I have changed my home page setting everywhere and still get this System Alert and web page wanting to download a different antivirus program. Have done all I know to no avail. Help!

You have Malware, use a Adware/Spyware remover and go over in safe mode w/ your Virus scanner.

click on start,then control panel,then Internet options.
change current home page address to one you want.
click on apply, then click on ok.
now get some spy ware/ad ware remover to run
delete temporary pages might help for now, but you should have a good anti-virus,firewall,and some sort of ad ware/spy ware detection. has lots of free software

Lord, I cannot believe I am answering this question since I am not a computer expert.
I would go to the “tools” bar at the top of your page, and go the bottom that says, “Internet options”. Once you are there, the first box will have your home page address listed. If you want to change, simply type in the wanted address and save as default. That should hopefully work for you.

Go to Internet option in def ult home page put back your home page and click apply as def ult page.
install Internet security and scan for spy and virus.
You can download and run ‘SuperAntiSpyware’
Also has ‘hijack homepage protection’ that will stop your homepage being changed without your knowledge.
